The microTec rotary microtome is a manually operated cutting device for all types of work with paraffin and hard cutting technology in biology, medicine and industry — used to prepare microscopic sections (e.g. human tissue) in histology and pathology, as well as for analysis of synthetic materials. Cutting is done with a resharpenable knife or a disposable blade fixed in interchangeable knife holders.
